Redmi Note 12 4G Indian and Global Variant Spotted on IMEI Database, May Launch Soon: Report
Redmi Note 12 4G could have 2 versions. Model numbers 23021RAAEG and 23028RA60L are for global and Indian markets. These options no longer have NFC. The code name is "Tapas". The way tapas is ordered seems to come from a certain period in India. This confirms that, according to Xiaomiui documentation, non-NFC models can be codenamed "Tapas". The documentation also states that the 23021RAA2Y range is the most readily available on the global market. Codenamed "Topaz", this variant includes NFC capabilities. Redmi Note 12 4G will include MIUI 13 based entirely on Android 14 According to the documents, the smartphone will include at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The top Garage variant will most likely include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. According to previous documents, the Redmi Note 12 4G is expected to launch as a Rebadged Redmi Note 10 Pro model. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G was found in the IMEI database under the codename "sweet_k6a_global" while the global version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro was codenamed "sweet_global". The same document states that Xiaomi plans to launch a phone codenamed "sweet_k6a_global", previously known as the Redmi Note Eleven Pro (2023).
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, in the same version series as the Redmi Note Eleven Pro (2023), also appeared on the NBTC website in December 2022. Information about the release of the Redmi Note 12 4G has not yet been officially confirmed. The Redmi Note 12 5G collection was recently launched in India in three flavors: Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G.
